Dragon Games Soar in Q4: A Look at the US Android Market

As the year wrapped up, the dragon-themed gaming category on Android saw interesting trends in the United States. Data from Sensor Tower provides an overview of how the top five dragon games performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Merge Dragons! by Zynga maintained a consistent performance throughout the quarter, with revenue peaking at $660K in the last week of December. Downloads saw a high of around 20K in the first week of December, while weekly active users reached a peak of approximately 291K in the same period.

The Swiss-published game Frost & Flame: King of Avalon experienced revenue fluctuations, with a notable peak at $372K in mid-December. Downloads hit a high of over 4K in early October, and weekly active users saw their highest at roughly 28K in the same time frame.

Singapore's Century Games brought Dragonscapes Adventure to the market, which showed a steady revenue trend with a slight increase to $188K towards mid-December. Although downloads dipped to 5K in mid-December, weekly active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at around 49K.

Call of Dragons, another title from Singapore, saw a revenue peak at $247K at the start of October. Downloads reached their zenith at 11K in the last week of December, coinciding with an uptick in weekly active users to approximately 35K.

Lastly, Dragon City Mobile from the Spanish publisher Social Point observed its highest revenue at $123K during the festive week of December. The game's downloads surged to 35K in the same week, while the active user count remained robust with over 532K in the final week of the quarter.
